Blue Eco Forum is organized by eco-union and iesMed, with the support of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona City Council, the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, the French Ecological Transition Agency (ADEME) and Switchmed.

eco-union is an environmental association that aims to promote the transition towards sustainability in Europe and the Mediterranean region. It focuses on the interactions between economy, society and environment, conducting research, advocacy, capacity-building and awareness activities on a wide range of environmental thematic areas.

iesMed, laboratory for applied cooperative innovation, is the first European cooperative created in Catalonia and acts as a social and solidarity-based broker between social economy actors (companies, federations, networks), social economy support services, and private and public sectors. iesMed projects give priority to transnational cooperation in order to aim for an “economy without borders”.
