A marine waste collection project promoted by the Catalan Waste Agency, the Barcelona Port Authority and the “Cofraria de pescadors de Barcelona”.

17h-17h30 / 18h30-19h: Creative Workshop and exhibition “Les Cares del plàstic”
This worshop is based from plastic waste found on the beaches of Sitges, already washed and classified by shapes and colors. It’s about making faces and composed them on a small support. Additional materials to explain the problem of plastics will be exposed to explain how can we be part of the solution. In collaboration with “el Centre d’Estudis del Mar”, an environmental education programme from the Diputació de Barcelona.

20h-21h30: Environmental documentary “Desierto Líquido”
Screening of the documentary “Desertio Liquido”. An outstanding documentary which explores the relation among consumerism, overfishing and immigration + debate with the directors Alba Azaola, Daniel Carrasco and Ramón Tarridas, an artisanal fisherman, protagonist in the documentary.
This documentary has received several awards: Jury Award for Best Documentary in EcoZine, Environmental Film Festival of Zaragoza and the Audience Award at Another Way Film Fest in Madrid.
